Museum of Natural Science
Founded in 1909, the purpose of the Houston Museum of Natural Science has always been to "enhance in individuals the knowledge and delight in natural science and related subjects." The Museum houses the Burke Baker Planetarium, Wortham GIANT Screen Theatre, Cockrell Butterfly Center and a fascinating variety of permanent and traveling exhibit areas.

Art Car Museum
The Art Car Museum or "Garage Mahal", is an exhibition forum for local, national and international artists with an emphasis on art cars, other fine arts and artists that are rarely acknowledged by other cultural institutions. Often considered the 'Art Car Capital', Houston has the largest number of art cars of any city.

The Beer Can House

This project started in 1968 when John Milkovisch began inlaying thousands of marbles, rocks, and metal pieces into concrete and redwood to form unique landscaping features. Over the next 18 years the house disappeared under a covering of beer cans. Ripley's Believe It or Not estimated that over 50,000 cans adorn this monument.

George Ranch Historical Park
The George Ranch Historical Park's history follows family lines beginning in 1824 when Texas was still part of Mexico. Today, The George Ranch is a 23,000+ acre working ranch. Authentic locations, historic homes, costumed presenters and a remarkable story of determination and courage set the stage for trekking through Texas history.


Battleship Texas
Commissioned in 1914 as the most powerful weapon in the world, The Battleship Texas is credited with the introduction and innovation of advances in gunnery, aviation, and radar. The Battleship Texas was docked at the San Jacinto Battlegroup in 1948 and became the first permanent battleship museum.


Brazos Bend State Park
Brazos Bend State Park covers roughly 5,000 acres and includes activities such as camping, picnicking, hiking, biking, horseback riding and fishing. The Nature Center houses exhibits pertaining to the three major ecosystems in the park. The George Observatory, a satellite facility of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, is located in the park with three domed telescopes that create stunning views of the night sky!


Houston Texans
The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas playing out of Reliant Stadium. A member of the South Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League the Texans joined in 2002. The Texans were AFC South champions in both 2011 and 2012. Owned by Bob McNair and coached by Bill O'Brien.


Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are an American professional basketball team based in Houston, Texas playing out of the Toyota Center. A member of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference in the National Basketball Association. Founded in 1967, the Rockets have won 2 Championships, 4 Conference titles and 4 Division titles. Owned by Leslie Alexander and coached by Kevin McHale.


Houston Astros
The Houston Astros are a professional baseball team located in Houston, Texas playing out of Minute Maid Park. A member of the Western Division of Major League Baseball's American League. The Astros have one World Series appearance, 1 NL Pennant, 4 NL Central Division titles, and 2 NL West Division titles. Owned by Jim Crane and coached by Bo Porter.


Houston Dynamo

The Houston Dynamo is an American Major League Soccer club based in Houston, Texas playing out of the BBVA Compass Stadium. Founded in 2005, The Houston Dynamo won the 2006 and 2007 MLS Cups. In 2008 the Houston Dynamo was the first MLS club to secure a point on Mexican soil in the CONCACAF Champions League. Owned by Philip Anschutz along with Oscar De La Hoya and Gabriel Brener and coached by Dominic Kinnear.
